[Satellite TODAY 10-21-11]Independent satellite communications provider Vizada has extended and renewed its contract agreements with aeronautical services company Arinc to provide Inmarsat Classic Aero voice and data services over both Inmarsat’s I-4 and I-3 satellite networks, Vizada announced Sept. 20.

   The multi-year agreements represent the continuation of a nearly 20-year relationship that includes the provision of both fixed and mobile satellite services to commercial and government aviation customers. Vizada and Arinc also are partnered to provide land based satellite solutions for both government and commercial customers.

   “The commercial and government aeronautical markets are critical business areas for Vizada. We are pleased that our satellite communications services meet the high service standards Arinc requires for their broad offerings including safety of flight services,” Vizada Americas CEO Bob Baker said in a statement.
