[Satellite TODAY 03-10-11] The Satellite Users Interference Reduction Group (SUIRG) changed its name to Satellite IRG and made changes in its management structure to broaden its mission beyond the needs of the user community, the organization announced March 9.
    Colem Communications President Martin Coleman was named IRG’s executive director, replacing SUIRG President and Co-Founder Robert Ames. Coleman said the group would increase its support of other organizations such as the Global VSAT Forum and the World Broadcasting Union’s International Satellite Operations Group.
    "Our efforts are all aimed at driving the organization forward, with better global reach and with the ultimate goal of eradicating interference before it starts," Coleman said in a statement.
