[Satellite TODAY 02-10-11] GlobeCast has migrated the Travel Channel’s Asian signal from Asiasat to its new leased capacity on the Measat-3 satellite to support the channel’s HD launch later in the year, GlobeCast announced Feb. 9.
The migration builds off of Measat Satellite Systems’ capacity deal with GlobeCast to distribute Asian content, signed in November.
Travel Channel joins a broadcast neighborhood of GlobeCast’s clients on Measat-3, including: Fox Crime; FX; Fashion One HD; National Geographic Channel HD; History Channel HD; National Geographic Wild HD; TV5 Monde; and AXN HD for Korea and Asia.
