[Satellite TODAY 11-02-10] Bulgarian telco Vivacom saw a significant increase in profits in the first nine months of 2010 as a result of the boost it has received from its expanded DTH service offering, the company announced in its latest financial results issued Oct. 29.
    Vivacom increased its profits 43 percent compared to the same period in 2009. The operator said it is looking to satellite to continue its revenue and profit boost through the end of 2010.
    Vivacom launched a DTH service in late summer based on Intelsat satellites. Although it did not give numbers on the subscribers taking the service so far, the operator said that so far, “sales results have beaten company expectations."
