[Satellite TODAY 07-26-10] Indian DTH operator DishTV suffered a net loss of $13.4 million during its 2010 second quarter and has replaced its CEO, the company announced in its latest financial results issued July 22.
R.C. Venkateish has been named DishTV’s new CEO, effective immediately. Venkateish previously served as managing director of India and South Asia for ESPN Star Sports and was responsible for business operations in these regions.
DishTV also reported 6.2 million subscribers at the end of June with $66 million in revenue generated during the quarter. The operator maintains a 25 percent market share in India.
