[Satellite TODAY 07-20-10] GlobeCast has expanded and rebranded its fiber network, the company announced July 19.
GlobeCast renamed the network the GlobeCast Backbone Network and aims to offer broadcasters the ability to reach new markets and connect to major bouquet operators, broadcasters, playout facilities, media centers and teleports around the globe.
The network now reaches 32 points of presence around the globe, including, most recently, Johannesburg and Sao Paulo.
