[Satellite TODAY 03-03-10] U.K. set-top box supplier Pace reported a 405 percent increase in its 2009 profits of 69.9 million British pounds ($105 million) compared to 13.8 million pounds ($20.7 million) in 2008, the company announced in its latest financial results, released March 2.
Pace’s 2009 revenues were 1.13 billion pounds ($1.7 billion), up 52 percent from 2008.
Separately, Pace announced it will acquire Bewan Systems, a Paris-based IP and cable gateways specialist for no more than 12.5 million euros ($17 million).
The transaction is expected to be completed during the second quarter.
