[Satellite TODAY 10-23-09] Viasat Broadcasting, a Modern Times Group (MTG) subsidiary, reported 850,000 DTH subscribers in the Nordic region at the end of September, an increase of 17,000 subscribers compared to the previous quarter, the company announced in its third quarter results, released Oct. 21.
The operator also reported more than 80,000 HD subscribers across its DTH subscriber base. More than 130,000 subscribers now subscribe to Viasat’s ViasatPlus DVR service.
Viasat saw strong growth across its IPTV subscriber base. By the end of the quarter, it had 128,000 IPTV subscribers, an increase of 16,000 compared to the previous quarter.
