[Satellite TODAY 10-23-09] Madrid-based space company GMV opened a subsidiary in Warsaw, the company announced Oct. 21.

    The office will provide Polish customers with GMV’s transportation, space, defense, information and communication technologies.

    “The Poland market offers great opportunities and strategically. It is also an excellent springboard for further growth in other markets of Central and Eastern Europe,” GMV Corporate Development Director Miguel Ángel Martínez said in a statement.

    GMV already is implementing advanced systems for public passenger transport networks in Poland, designed to keep passengers aware changes in schedules among the city’s buses and trains.
