[Satellite TODAY 08-21-09] German manufacturer SatService introduced an upgrade kit to retrofit ACS 3000 antenna control systems from ACS with its Sat-Nms ACU-ODM module, SatService announced Aug. 20.
     The Sat-Nms module is an antenna control and step track system to be integrated directly in the antenna control box located at the satellite ground station antenna.
    The company said that only an Ethernet interface is necessary to operate and monitor and control the antenna control system and that the upgrade enables customers to add the Sat-Nms LBRX beacon receiver, which provides beacon level information via Ethernet frames.
