[Satellite Today 07-23-09] QSAT, a satellite service provider based in Qatar, has launched a next-generation iDirect Evolution network covering the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Europe, iDirect announced July 21.
The network aims to provide high-speed IP connectivity to financial institutions, oil and gas companies, and other enterprise customers in the regional market.
QSAT said that deregulation of the telecommunications industry in Qatar has paved the way for commercial and enterprise satellite service providers like to meet the country’s growing demand for additional bandwidth.
