[Satellite Today 07-09-09] Norsat has initiated a new marketing campaign to promote its growth to shareholders in Canada and the United States, the company announced July 8.
    Norsat has hired Caren Holtby, an investor relations consultant in Canada, along with Wolfe Axelrod from U.S. investor relations firm Weinberger Associates for a monthly salary of  $9,000 Canadian dollars ($7,750), plus expenses, to communicate the company’s goals and business opportunities. The two consultants also will receive 110,000 shares of the company’s common stock.
    “We believe that it is the appropriate time for Norsat to inform investors of the company’s powerful growth story,” Amiee Chan, president and CEO of Norsat, said in a statement.
