[Satellite Today 07-08-09] DEV Systemtechnik launched a family of L-band multiplexers and demultiplexers designed to assist satellite ground stations operators and cable head end stations with monitoring RF signals, the manufacturer announced July 7.
    The appliances switch multiple inputs to a single output or route a signal to different destinations. The units were designed to fit in a very small form factor, affording significantly less rack space than competitive products, DEV said.
    The L-band units also feature SNMP protocol, Web interface and redundant power supplies as standard options. Appliances in the product family are available for 50 and 75 ohms systems.
