[Satellite Today 06-25-09] Arianespace has received and integrated the TerreStar-1 telecommunications satellite payload onto its Ariane 5 ECA heavy-lift launcher, scheduled for liftoff July 1, TerreStar announced June 24.
    TerreStar-1, based on Space Systems/Loral’s 1300 platform, and set to be the world’s largest civilian telecommunications satellite ever launched, is the lone payload on the Ariane 5 ECA mission.
    TerreStar-1 aims to provide voice, data and video coverage over the United States and Canada.
