Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) is working with Newtec to optimize their point-to-point transmissions services via satellite, Newtec announced June 16.
    Using Newtec’s DVB-S2 modulator and demodulator technology, ABS customers can transport live video content from their studios and live events directly to ABS gateway teleports efficiently and reliably. These live video contribution feeds are then multiplexed, encrypted and uplinked to full transponder MCPC platforms on ABS-1 for pay-TV distribution and direct-to-home broadcasting. Newtec’s integrated high-order DVB-S2 modulation solution consists of an AZ110 Azimuth Broadcast satellite modulator and an AZ910 demodulator,
