[Satellite Today 06-04-09] AT&T CruiseCast officially launched its in-car satellite service in partnership with RaySat Broadcasting Corp. and AT&T, the companies announced June 3.
The service combines satellite radio and satellite television by using a low profile receiver antenna mounted on the roof of a vehicle. The service comes at a $1,299 price for initial equipment setup and a $28 monthly service fee.
AT&T CruiseCast soft launched the product in May to 373 retail outlets. The hard launch comes after some developmental delays, as the company’s original plans called for a full launch of the product and service in March.
