[Satellite Today 05-28-09] Thaicom subsidiary IPStar is partnering with Comtech EF Data to provide integrated satellite backhaul solutions for mobile and WiMax networks, Thaicom announced May 27.
The companies have been cooperating on product and technology tests, type approvals and deployments on IPStar’s Ku-band platform with several mobile operators and system vendors in several countries for 2G and 3G networks.
Thaicom said the results have been “promising.”
