[Satellite Today 05-19-09] Measat Satellite Systems signed a capacity deal the Asian Food Channel (AFC), renewing its video distribution contract on the Measat-3 satellite, Measat announced May 18.
AFC, a 24-hour food channel in Singapore, reaches 15 million viewers on the basic tiers across seven territories, including all major pay TV platforms across Southeast Asia. The channel was launched on Measat-1 in 2005.
“AFC was one of the first channels on what has become one of the regions most important video distribution platforms,” said Terry Bleakley, vice president for commercial operations at Measat, in a statement.
