[Satellite Today 05-12-09] The Express AM44 satellite has commenced operations at the 11 degrees West orbital slot within Russian Satellite Communications Co.’s (RSCC) satellite constellation, RSCC announced May 11.
Express AM44, equipped with 16 Ku-band transponders,10 C-band transponders and an L-band transponder, will replace the Express-A3 satellite to provide satellite capacity for both TV and radio broadcasting and securing other voice and data services over broadband.
RSCC said the satellite would also cater to “specialized needs” of unnamed clients.
