[Satellite Today 05-11-09] Telekom Malaysia Berhad renewed a contract with Measat to lease transponder capacity on the Measat-3 satellite, Telekcom Malaysia announced May 8.
Telekcom Malaysia, an integrated information and communications group, has used the capacity since 2001, and the latest agreement will extend the deal for an additional three years.
“With a reliable fleet of satellites and increased coverage provided with the launch of Measat-3a in June 2009, Measat will look to build and grow the existing relationship with” Telekom Malaysia, Terry Bleakley, Measat’s vice president of commercial operations, said in a statement.
