Korean satellite and terrestrial broadcast company DTV Interactive carried out the broadcast transmission lab test of the company’s ATX2000 unit, an ATSC-M/H multiplex signal generator utilizing the transmission facilities of ION Media Networks, DTV announced April 24.
DTV said that the test included the successful use of a broadcast ATSC Legacy system for a main streaming feed. The company said this opens the way for the system to be used as a component in an ATSC-M/H chain.
DTV partnered with Sencore Inc., a broadcast test and measurement solution provider, for sales and local service of the unit in the United States.
