[Satellite Today 04-06-09] SES Americom-New Skies signed a three-year capacity deal with German broadcaster Deutsche Welle for capacity aboard SES Americom’s Digital C platform, SES announced April 3.
Deutsche Welle will use 4.5 megabits per second of capacity on AMC-1 to deliver programming to cable headends and German, Spanish and English-speaking television viewers and radio listeners.
“SES satellites have the reach and reliability we need to deliver our television and radio content virtually anywhere, anytime,” Guido Baumhauer, Deutsche Welle’s managing director of strategy, marketing and distribution, said in a statement.
