[Satellite Today 04-01-09] ViaSat received an $18 million contract award from Skylogic, the broadband subsidiary of Eutelsat, for broadband gateway earth stations for the Ka-Sat Ka-band satellite system, ViaSat announced March 31.
ViaSat will deliver and install eight broadband Earth stations, which are designed to connect subscribers of Eutelsat’s Tooway broadband service throughout Europe. ViaSat also will provide maintenance and support services.
The ground infrastructure will be available for the Ka-Sat launch scheduled for mid-2010, ViaSat said.
