E-Vision, a cable TV provider and part of Etisalat, has launched a High-Definition (HD) service offering content through HD setup boxes which are provided by the company, E-Vision announced Mar. 4.
As part of the launch, the company revealed its Videoclub service, the first video-on-demand service in the United Arab Emirates.
E-Vision also announced the launch of a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) functionality for the HD set top box. With E-Vision’s (PVR), viewers can pause live TV, digitally rewind a program, or record their favorite programs. The set top box will enable viewers to record up to 200 hours of content to be viewed at leisure.
