[Satellite Today 02-20-09] Sea Launch halted preparations for the launch of the Sicral 1B communications satellite at the request of Telespazio, Sea Launch announced Feb. 19.
Sea Launch said the request was made in order to administer further spacecraft tests and verifications.
Built by Thales Alenia Space, the dual-use Italsat 3000 spacecraft is designed to provide communications services for Italian Defense, NATO and allied nations.
Sea Launch will announce a new launch date once testing is completed.
