[Satellite Today 02-02-09] Tecom Industries Inc. introduced the KuStream 1000 to its line of satellite communication products, the company announced Jan. 30.
The KuStream 1000, a collaboration between Tecom Industries and devleoper Qest, is a broadband antenna system designed to provide passengers with broadband in-flight connectivity, supporting applications such as Voice Over IP, movies, Internet, e-mail and other in-flight entertainment services.
Comprised of three line replaceable units, the KuStream 1000 operates in the frequency band of 11.7-12.75 GHz for receiving and 14-14.5 GHz for transmitting.
