[Satellite Today 01-22-09] JSC Kazakhtelecom (KT), a telecommunications operator based in Kazakhstan, has selected Gilat Satellite Networks to expand KT’s existing SkyEdge broadband network to serve several hundred additional sites, Gilat announced Jan. 21.
The expansion will be used to provide telephony and broadband Internet services to remote communities in Kazakhstan as part of a universal service obligation in the enterprise sector.
KT has been a customer of Gilat since 1998.
