[Satellite Today 01-09-09] Comtech EF Data received $1.4 million in orders for satellite communications equipment from an unnamed GSM operator based in Africa, Comtech EF Data announced Jan. 8.
The order specifies CDM-625 advanced satellite modems with an array of options that enable bandwidth efficiencies.
The equipment will be utilized to upgrade the satellite backhaul for an existing GSM network in Africa.
