[Satellite Today 01-08-09] Venezuela will make its first satellite radio and television transmission Jan. 10, Venezuelan Minister of Science and Technology Nuris Orihuela told Venezuelan press officials Jan. 6.
The transmission will be done on the Venesat-1 satellite launched from China in October.
According to Orihuela, Venesat-1, also known as Simon Bolivar, will cover health, education, community work, agriculture and other programs.
