[Satellite Today 11-13-08] Xiplink, a developer of wireless bandwidth optimization, has rolled out with version 2.7 of its bandwidth software, the company announced Nov. 13.
The commercial release includes improvements to XipLink’s high-performance data compression algorithms and can boast bandwidth gains of 200 percent or more for most data types, XipLink said
The company’s wireless optimization solution supports IP version 6 and is based on IETF standards in combination with the Space Communications Protocol Standards, which aims to ensure government and military organizations of multi-vendor interoperability.
