Viasat Adds MTVHD Channel

[Satellite Today 10-08-08] Viasat Broadcasting, a subsidiary of the Modern Times Group (MTG) has launched MTV’s HD channel, MTVHD, on its pay-TV satellite platform in the Nordic region, Viasat announced Oct. 6.
    The channel will be available to subscribers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Viasat launched its HDTV offering in January.
    Viasat also launched a number of localized premium sports channels in Sweden and Norway, providing viewers in both countries a total of five dedicated Viasat sports channels.
