[Satellite Today 09-23-08] Hughes Network Systems introduced its Wideband Configurable Demodulator Subsystem (CDS) with a capability to simultaneously demodulate multiple time division multiple access channels on a 36-megahertz satellite transponder, the company announced Sept. 23.
The Wideband CDS is housed in a single rack unit enclosure, supports simultaneous demodulation of up to nine channels and reduces power requirements for the hub equipment of Hughes HX and HN Systems.
Hughes said the Wideband CDS is available with the Hughes HX System and will begin shipping with the HN System in late 2008.
