[Satellite Today 09-22-08] United Service Source Inc. (USSI), a communications service provider, has acquired Ascent Media’s Palm Bay satellite systems engineering and field business unit, USSI announced Sept. 22.
Palm Bay will now be recognized as USSI Broadcast and Network Services and will continue to provide engineering, project management, equipment procurement, installation, integration and commissioning services related to the design and construction of turnkey satellite facilities for broadcast, cable, telecom, government and corporate users.
USSI said the consolidation would be gradual with no disruptions to its customer service.
