[Satellite Today 09-17-08] Serbia Broadband signed a contract with Eutelsat for a fourth transponder on Eutelsat’s W2 satellite, Serbia Broadband announced Sept. 17.
The capacity under the seven-year contract will be used for improving the regional offer of Serbia Broadband’s DTH platform, Total TV, as well as to support additional channels for the Bosnian pay-TV service and soon to be launched Croatian pay-TV service.
Total TV reportedly has the highest growth rate in the region of former Yugoslavia, and Total TV plans to offer high-definition channels as well as personal video recorder video-on-demand service in 2009.
