[Satellite Today 09-08-08] Tecom Industries, a Smiths Interconnect company, along with German antenna developer Quantenelektronische Systeme GmbH (QEST), will jointly produce and market airborne broadband antennas for in-flight satellite and IP connectivity, the companies announced Sept. 8.
QEST said its contribution will include core RF components such as the antenna aperture and signal processing modules.
Tecom said it will be responsible for overall systems engineering, antenna positioning and control subsystems, product qualification and certification in addition to after sales support.
