[Satellite Today 09-01-08] MTV Networks International has made a key move in the high-definition (HD) arena with the launch of a major pan-European initiative, the company announced Sept. 1.
MTV will launch its first ever international HD service dedicated to music and kids, MTVNHD (MTV Networks High Definition) in two weeks time in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden.
MTV said more than 300 hours of programming has been commissioned over two years, providing viewers with an enhanced music and kids’ entertainment experience across MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon among other brands.
