[Satellite Today 08-28-08] ND SatCom, an SES Astra company, will deliver a turnkey redundant 5+1 uplink station for TDF‘s teleport in Nantes, France, the company announced Aug. 28.
According to ND Satcom, the uplink station consists of two 8.1m uplinks with five regular and one redundant channel. In addition, one 4.8m uplink will be installed for backup applications.
ND SatCom plans to start operations at the end of 2008.
TDF’s teleport in Nantes is unmanned, operated via remote control at its playout center in Paris.
