[Satellite News 08-04-08] In its latest results, Dish Network had mixed fortunes with increases in revenues and profits, but a drop in the number of subscribers overall. Dish Network reported total second quarter revenue of $2.91 billion, a 5.6 percent increase compared with $2.76 billion for the corresponding period in 2007. However, the company also reported that they lost approximately 25,000 net subscribers during the quarter ending with approximately 13.8 million subscribers.
Dish Network’s net income totalled $336 million for the quarter, compared with $224 million during the corresponding period the previous year.
