[Satellite Today – 5-13-08] Dish Network Corp. reported a 7.5 percent increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2008 and a 65 percent increase in income, the company announced May 13.
Dish posted total revenue of $2.8 billion for the quarter ended March 31, compared with $2.6 billion for the first quarter of 2007. The company reported income of $259 million, compared with $157 million in 2007.
Dish also added about 35,000 new subscribers for the quarter, giving the company a total of 13.8 million subscribers.
