[Satellite Today – 5-12-08] GeoEye Inc. posted a 6.5 percent decrease in revenue for the first quarter of 2008 but reported a gain in net income, the company announced May 9.
GeoEye reported revenue of $34.4 million for the quarter ending March 31, compared to $36.8 million in the first quarter of 2007. The company increased net income from a loss in 2007 of $30.2 million to $326,000. 2007’s loss was due primarily to the OrbView-3 spacecraft being placed out of service.
