[Satellite Today – 3-12-08] ViaSat Inc. has installed more than 1,000 satellite networking terminals throughout Russia, the company announced March 12.
Working through Russian service provider HeliosNet, ViaSat has installed universal service obligation services using LinkStar in 11 regions and 1,524 villages.
The work is being done under a Russian Federal Communication Agency program intended to provide communal Internet access points for all remote area populations in the Russian Federation.
