[Satellite Today – 3-3-08] Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) signed a long-term capacity deal with Russia’s RRSat Global Communications Network Ltd., ABS announced March 1.
Under the agreement, ABS will distribute Channel One Russia on the southern Ku-band beam of its ABS-1 satellite to reach Russian viewers throughout Asia.
“Channel One Russia will join over 400 television and radio channels that are currently broadcast throughout our global and far reaching network,” David Rivel, CEO and founder of RRsat, said in a statement.
