[12-06-07 – Satellite Today] Indian direct-to-home (DTH) provider Dish TV added 126,000 subscribers in its most recent quarter to bring its total number of customers to more than 2.6 million, the company announced Dec. 5.
Dish now claims to own nearly 70 percent of the DTH market in India.
Dish also announced that it has sold nearly 5 percent of its shares to Indivision Indian Partners, a Mauritius-based private equity fund, raising 2.5 billion rupees ($253.8 million).
