[12-05-07 – Satellite Today] MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) will acquire Alliance Spacesystems LLC, MDA announced Dec. 5.
Alliance Spacesystems provides U.S. government and aerospace customers with advanced technology solutions as well as robotic and mechanical structures applied on a variety of space missions as well as terrestrial applications. Alliance will become part of MDA Federal, a subsidiary that includes all of the U.S. businesses of the MDA Information Systems Group.
The transaction is expected to close within two weeks and become accretive within a year. Financial details were not released.
