[11-14-07 – Satellite Today] AAE Systems Inc. (AAE) won a $24 million contract to provide a turnkey communications system in the Middle East to be used by government departments, service agencies and field offices, the company announced Nov. 13.
    AAE will design, provide and install an Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) system to provide WiMax and Wi-Fi extension services, emergency services mobile radio communications system, fixed, mobile and portable communications platforms, and vehicular communications platforms.
    The services will be tailored to the specific needs of the national and provincial government offices, regional and rural medical facilities, financial institutions, emergency management agencies, and public service agencies, AAE said.
