Space access company Vector appointed Robert Cleave as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). He will oversee and manage all revenue-generating activities including acquiring new customers and continuing to partner with current customers to grow the existing launch manifest.

“We are commencing flight operations in 2019 and it is critical our Chief Revenue Officer understands what it takes to further establish this company as a leader in the small satellite launch industry,” said Jim Cantrell, CEO and co-founder of Vector. “The experience Robert brings to our team will be instrumental in achieving not only our revenue goals, but our larger business objectives as well.”

Cleave has more than 30 years of expertise in the space industry as an engineer, program manager, and general manager. Prior to joining Vector, Cleave founded the world’s first company to commercialize X-band frequencies (Xtar) and was recruited by Lockheed Martin to manage business development activities, subsequently becoming its president of commercial launch services and vice president of its commercial satellite business unit.
