Honeywell introduced new services for commercial and defense aerospace manufacturers, allowing them to utilize its Engineering Services and Testing Services groups to help bring products to market. Honeywell Engineering Services will be supported by supported by the company’s Technology Center of Excellence in India, which employs more than 3,000 engineers in labs located in Bangalore, Madurai, and Hyderabad. The group offers end-to-end services for aerospace-related mechanical, propulsion and avionics.

Meanwhile, Honeywell Testing Services will offer clients access to 24 locations across the United States, China, India, England and the Czech Republic, giving manufacturers an opportunity to perform materials, environmental, mechanical and electrical testing. Honeywell said its experience in working with authorities like the Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency also provide an advantage for customers given long timelines often associated with new products.

“Bringing products to market and completing their certifications is traditionally a lengthy, complex, and expensive process, especially when working directly with a national aviation authority,” the company said in the release. “By working with these new services groups, manufacturers and suppliers can improve their product development processes while controlling costs.”
