Airbus has opened its Space Academy in Toulouse, France to help train customers in the operation of satellites and space systems that are acquired from the company.

When a customer procures a spacecraft from Airbus, the process and operation of the spacecraft involves a training process, especially for first time customers, such as governments, which are establishing their own space programs. The aim of the Space Academy will be to provide practical training in spacecraft operation.

Héloïse Scheer, the customer training manager for space systems at Airbus, explained that the Space Academy is an important step in the company’s continuing work to digitize all aspects of training.

The 500 square meter Space Academy was inaugurated on May 29. Airbus is keen to establish the company as a leader in customer training and is focused on customer needs. The Academy is located on Airbus Toulouse’s space campus, in an area dedicated to customers.
