Speedcast recently signed deals with aviation services provider Bristow Group and Algerian satellite services provider Algérie Télécom Satellite (ATS).

Bristow Group signed a multi-year contract to upgrade more than 40 onshore energy and search and rescue office bases with Speedcast’s Unified Global Platform (UGP) and software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) solution, which is multi-path and multi-orbit. The sites span Australia, Europe, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and North and South America.

Speedcast has supported Bristow for 10 years, supporting flight operations. This allows Bristow personnel to access core enterprise systems and applications such as aircraft maintenance data transfer.

“Speedcast has been our long-standing connectivity partner serving our fleet operations base stations across the globe. Because of the reliable service and advanced technology Speedcast delivers, our team can conduct their work and ensure flights continue to run seamlessly and stay connected, no matter the flight path or destination,” commented Bristow CIO Noel Malcaba.

Separately, ATS signed an agreement to resell Speedcast satellite services in the Algerian market. The selection came after an RFI process. ATS currently operates fixed and mobile satellite networks for cellular, banking, government and other industries and operates a teleport at Lakhdaria and offices around Algeria.
