SES revealed on Tuesday that Guatemalan broadband provider COMNET will use SES Networks’ Signature Enterprise Solutions and the SES-14 satellite to extend its broadband service QUANTTUM across Latin America. COMNET already provided a managed services platform on SES-10, as well as other SES satellites, to deliver connectivity services to underserved areas in Central America.

The extended partnership comes under the SES Partner Program. COMNET is considered a certified partner for delivering SES Networks’ Signature Solutions, and will use the expanded coverage of two satellites, SES-10 and SES-14, to extend service for customers in industries such as energy, agriculture, construction, and government.

“This partnership will open new opportunities for COMNET and SES Networks to collaborate and provide greater benefits to end customers across diverse industries in the region, regardless of location,” said Omar Trujillo, vice President of sales for fixed data Americas at SES Networks. “This new agreement confirms COMNET’s trust in us as a strong partner, and we are delighted to support them so that they can continue to focus on delivering an outstanding service.”
